I started my day rock climbing, and in the afternoon we took a 40 minute bus journey to a local village, where our current guide Sally grew up. This local village houses the picturesque scenery that is printed on the back of a 20rmb note. Today was a pretty action-filled day. We took a bike ride to moon hill taking a 45 minute hike up to the hole of the hill caused by thousands of years of erosion. We then cycled up to the water Buddha cave where we took a dip into the mud baths and hot springs. First of all we met with the other 7 people who will be with us or the duration of the trip. We took a bike ride from Yangshuo to Yulong where we boarded small bamboo rafts and drifted downstream. We took a 20 hour train from Shanghai to Guilin, then a further 1.5 hour bus to Yangshuo. We said farewell to the 12 others we had been travelling with since Hangzou and picked up one more Brit, Felicity. We actually departed from Shanghai a day early so we could have an extra day in Yangshou.
