Bilog Bun at Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream

Despite the name, there’s nothing dirty about this Filipino street ice cream house. Instagrammable from the outside-in, you’ll find ice cream shakes and Filipino-inspired flavours on the menu, but it’s the Bilog Bun that takes centre stage.

The hot and crispy waffle-like bun oozes with magical purple ice cream. The filling gets its rich colour from the traditional Filipino dessert Ube (pronounced oo-bay) – made from purple yams – but has an intensely sweet flavour.

The staff will happily let you sneak a taste of all of the ice cream flavours before you order so don’t be afraid to ask.

Matcha-Taiyaki Ice Cream at Bake

Despite being shaped like a fish, this Japanese Taiyaki  waffle cone is deliciously sweet! Into which you can choose from a hearty serving of  matcha tea, vanilla or mixed flavour soft-serve ice cream. You’ll first need to pay at the counter at the far end inside the store, and then return to the queue with your receipt.

Bubble Waffle from Bubblewrap Waffle

This is quite literally across the road from Bake, albeit with longer queues. Originating from Hong Kong’s egg waffles in the 1950s, these bubbles are first crispy and then soft stuffed with gelato or even avocado!

Cereal Cocktail from Cereal Killer Cafe

Feed your inner child and have cereal for dinner. I really needn’t say more! You’ll find this cafe hidden within Camden Market, and it is a little tricky to find. But if you can navigate pass the world array of street vendors then you’re on track. If you do get lost, don’t worry they have another cafe in Brick Lane.

Since you’re already in Camden Market, be sure to pick up a carton of the best orange juice you’ve ever tasted! The vendor is usually situated at the entrance to the market. And well, how about a toasted marshmallow topped on a hot chocolate from Chin Chin Labs? (they also serve nitro ice cream!)
